Thank you for posting that movie. I would never have seen it without you doing that.
I did not want to reply until I had taken the time to see the movie, without fast forwarding it. I have a rule for me that I do NOT turn on the TV until 6pm. To watch the movie I had to break that rule and turn on the TV at 1pm. Because I have taken joy in your photos, I figured this movie would have some merit, and therefore I gave myself permission to break my rule.
The movie DID have merit!!!! For me it was a toast to the human spirit....heartwarming, and it had a happy romantic ending....not realistic, but we, and me, need fantasy and hope.
Getting along in years is not easy (I'm still young, only 78 soon to be 79 years old), but it is the price we pay for having a life.

What a lovely film I have just watched all the way through -steers the balance between sad and funny. I so remember Pauline Collins as Shirley Valentine and I think in the Liver Birds too??

Just been going over old posts and found this one.
Loved the film! Even though I didn't realise it was full length. Have just finished watching at 1.00AM! Well worth it!
Am wondering if your friends at your home, Patrick, are as lovely as this bunch. Hope you have found a like minded group - without the cabbage!
