UTI and suspected chest infections again two plus months

Just wondering if anyone else has gone through this.

My guy is now had a uti and chest infection since January 15 and is now on his 4th different antibiotic,He is now on day 4 of the newest antibiotic and he really is not improving, just wondering where we are heading. Had a talk with him because I really need to know he knows that this could go sideways and if it does, what does he want to do,of course he made a hand gun and pull the trigger of course I told I couldn't do that because I would go to jail 😕

This roller coaster from he'll has to end but the ending is terrifying.

He has bounce back so many times,it watching and waiting and trying to make good decision.

Hi Dee

This must be so miserable for you both.

Is it time to talk about stopping the intravenous antibiotics? Does he want that? End of life doctors are usually very good at advising on this. You don't have to make the decission alone.

Thinking of you both.

Warmly

Kevin

Dee this is very like what happened to my husband. Including what he wanted to happen and your reply to him.

Sadly he didn't recover. Sadly for me that is. For him I think he had had enough.

I will say a prayer for you both. I hope you get strength no matter what happens.

We are here for you no matter what. Just remember that? Make sure you tell him you love him. Also make sure he knows he can go. Tell him you will be alright. I hope you have family close by? Remember no two people are alike and he could shock you yet.

Hugs to you.

I have similarities to this in that i have been ill since November last year. When I saw consultant, apparently I’m constantly aspirating without realising, have lost weight, lost apetite, and high risk of infection. Only solution for me is PET feeding to supply nutrition without aspiration. This may not be case for you, I hope. Go back to dr and see what they do. Once sorted, I’m told I can socialise again. All the best for future.
