Side affects

Hi. Has anyone suffered side affects from using Scopoderm patches.

I can’t decide whether its side affects or just progress, Colin is now not sleeping through, since being on these patches he is waking up at least 4 - 5 times a night, very confused. Then in the day he does not stop talking even though it is mostly not understandable, gets very angry about things then within 10 mins won’t even remember.

This has not been how PSP has worked for Colin so far, he has been quiet, peaceful and rarely wound up over things, and also was sleeping through the night.

Don’t think there’s an infection, just wondering if it could be these patches causing, or maybe my new normal.

Love and hugs

Same thing here, he’s been horrible to me and the carers.

I have take the patch off now and am hoping it doesn’t take long for him to be “normal”.

The hospice consultant has just been on the phone and is prescribing atropine drops instead.

Thank you for replying it’s jist a case of wait and see if it was definitely that causing it.

My wife has been on them for more than two years with no obvious side effects. I think they are a wonderful simple solution to build up of fluids. They are sold as sea sickness patches. I wouldn't have thought they would have got approved if they had severe side effects.

Hi Kenh1 I have spoken to consultant and she has agreed it could be the patch, so have removed it now.

Thank

You for your reply
