Dear Aryanti. My husband has CBD. The PSPA association have just published a brilliant leaflet called 'A professional's Guide to Corticobasal Degeneration' which will tell you everything. It can be downloaded or you can contact the Association for hard copies.

Good luck. Love AliBee x

Glad you were able to find the information that you needed. It is scary but everyone's progression differs. Good luck for the future and welcome to this forum which will be such a source of support for you if you need it. All the best AliBee xx

Aryanti,

Here is another article that helps relate PSP and CBD under an umbrella of Frontal Temporal Dementia. theaftd.org/what-is-ftd/ftd...

Hoping all the best for you and your family,

Bobby

Hi Bobby - How did you do through Christmas and New Year's? All of these "firsts"....

Anne,

You are so kind to ask. I am enjoying time away from the US by spending time with my daughter and grandsons in Australia, as well as catching up with old friends. The long warm days make it not seem like Christmas. Earlier this week would have been my Bs 60th birthday. We had a small celebration of her favorite things to remember her, despite her dislike of milestone birthdays.

How about you? How did you go through your “firsts” during Christmas and New Years?

I find it more difficult to read and respond to the posts here. It is painful to see newly diagnosed or newly lost loved ones, opening wounds that are slowly healing. I know that I need to be compassionate like people ( Nanna B and others) who continued to help and encourage people like me when I was struggling with caring for my loved one.

Thank you and have a blessed New Year,

Bobby

Bobby, you don't need to keep revisiting the grief and reopening wounds. Most of us will drift away at some point. There is no 'right' point :-)

I did better than I expected thru Xmas by keeping busy, accepting all offers of tagging along to concerts etc, and trying to keep my focus on other people. It worked, more or less. Like you, I still (as we always will) feel the gaping hole in my life, but I do feel the edges around the hole healing up (analogy from another HU member!)

Enjoy the sun and the grandkids :-)
