I've been trying to work out how and why people are posting at all times of the day and night. Having just read Sarah's post and your replies I now understand !

My heart goes out to all of you who are having sleepless nights - I don't know how you manage. I hope your progression is similar to ours - we had some bad nights but now Valerie sleeps a lot , both day and night.

Hang in there - it will get better.

Love to you all Bryan

Hi, Bryan. Like you I only had a couple of years of disturbed nights - and even then it was only a couple of times a night. I found it a killer. I couldn't have continued for long. It stopped all rational thought. I was stressed enough during the day, being on alert for impulsive movements.

For the last few months he slept through the night and lots of the day.

Some things get worse and some get better !

Hope things are better for you ? Are you able to meet us all ?

love, Jean x

Don't forget we are writing in from all over the world. There are members in New Zealand and Australia, Europe, and South and North America. We have had folks write in from the Azores, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico. that's one thing that helped me a lot - even in my dead of night, folks would be awake somewhere to chime in with help!

It's 12:00 noon,lunch time here😊

Are you in Vancouver?

Vancouver restaurants are simply amazing.

BC is great!

My two most favourite cities in the world are Vancouver and Edinburgh.

I'm a permanent student in an online cooking school based in V.

Don't like the winters in V though :(

Hi Kevin, like me, Dee is in a community just east of Vancouver (where it is 2:50 now). Hooky are right about the winters... Hence my 'handle'...💦☔🌆👧

Hi Bryan

Lack of sleep has been a permanent challenge in our house for 5 years now. My dream sleep is 4 hours uninterrupted very occasionally we achieve 3 hours and I am anew woman!!! It is so good knowing I am not alone in this battle in the middle of the night. The forum a life saver. Hope to see you again at another London meeting

Take care

Love Tippy

I found that if I was awake there was no way of getting back again. It felt like a missed train and I had to wait for the next connection.!

Tippy I can relate to you.John sometimes used to be awake 5 or 6 times a night and never slept through. Now I am getting him home I am worried that we are going to be in same position. Hope your hospital appointment today goes well. Love Pauline

Hi there, Leon (hubby) was awake up to 30 times a night, it was exhausting, a 3 hours straight was heaven, this went on for 3 years, now he is in care, I don't know how I coped for so long, but we just seem to do it. Love is a wonderful thing.

Well I only had a couple of weeks like that! I told G that if he didn't go asleep I would be ill. Poor man. He never woke me after that but I do know there were nights he was awake! He was such a good patient.

Now I can't sleep unless I am really tired. Hence my posts can be anytime of night or day. I wonder if I will ever get my sleep pattern back to normal. Think this goes back to the last three weeks of G's life! I think I slept with one eye open most of the time.

Bryan some of us sleep patterns which have gone haywire! Then there are the people all over the world as EC said?
