A story about pants

Couldn’t resist sharing a little story about pants!!

We have my Hubby’s brother over from USA staying for 10 days. He has been very keen to help so whilst I was at a hosp appt on Monday he was left in charge. Asked him to take my hubby to toilet every 2 hours and change his pants. Got home at 2pm all seemed well hubby wearing different trousers . Noticed 3 pairs of trousers in laundry basket but some days this is the norm. When I took him to the toilet realised trousers soaked and pull up pants saturated. Mentioned to brother in law who said he had changed pants as requested at which point the penny dropped in USA trousers = pants!! Bless him he dutifully changed pants/ trousers 2 hrly but not the pull up Inco pants!! He did say he thought it a very strange request!! The expression lost in translation comes to mind!!

Well it made me chuckle!!!

Nice one

But, there may be a percentage of that which is covered in a book "How to Train a Man".

Hilarious! My sister was doing a program in Cardiff eons ago and raised some eyebrows at the dining hall when she said she had gotten caught in the rain and was lent dry pants by a male classmate. She didn't understand the problem...

Hahahah. I must say that though dutiful, your brother in law surely could've used a course on common sense.....something the US is rapidly losing in light of political structures....I wonder if your brother in law is a republican....sorry guys....hahaha

Made me titter, same language but different meaning. I know they have a word considered rude in the UK for your backside, could be a problem if you are visiting the USA to care for a mother/aunt or sister and asked to wipe their bottom.!!!

What's titter...and whats the word one uses for backside or bottom in the UK?

A titter is a giggle or laugh! As to rude words for your bum, I think they are the same, both sides of the pond!

I believe the word in the US for backside begins with f and ends in y

(f----y) and refers to lady bits in the UK. It's a bit of a rude term in the 🇬🇧

Heady explained 'titter'

so I am supposing the shortened form of titter is not derogatory for a woman's breast as it is over here in the colonies.....hahha oh I hope that wasnt derogatory....

I have to admit to made me smile a lot.

David used to have a pant problem (American style now), in the early days of PSP when he lost a little weight but was still mobile, every time he stood up from his chair his trousers would fall down. He had the slenderest hips I've ever come across so trousers were on a losing battle 😀
