I just responded to a post last week about my dad's run of good luck with not having a UTI in one full year. It appears his luck has run out. He has a UTI. The nurse noticed she had not been getting as much urine out when she straight cathed him three times a day. The on call Dr. ordered an indwelling catheter. The nurse was unable to get it inserted due to his urethral stricture. He will see a urologist tomorrow but it looks as though he will need some sort of procedure to reroute his plumbing. Poor man, every last shred of dignity taken, little by little.

Oh I am so sorry for him. There is no dignity as you say. Maybe that's true of all illness at the end? It seems so cruel and awful doesn't it?
My hugs to you and your poor Dad.

Oh darn...I'm so sorry to hear this. I think it was my string you replied on, and I'd hoped your good outlook would last.... At least he had a professional nurse to observe correctly and get onto it... Best wishes for him xx

I really feel for him and you. All dignity does leave it is so very cruel. 😢
Your poor dad. All the poking and prodding people with PSP have to put up with. They are so brave and generally speaking uncomplaining. I hope they can sort it out quickly for him. Take care.

Hi
PSP takes so much from people - even their dignity.
It's so saddening.
Wishing you the best
