Am so sorry, Jenny, that Chip has gone! But what a relief it will be that your task is now well done and he is finally at peace.

Sleep and rest may be difficult to achieve at first but they will come.

Not sure if the sendoff is at 3 Jan or 1 March. I found this an exhausting time, with so much to arrange. Once over, you will be able to rest easy, think of Chip and grieve for him.

I hope you can find some special memories to enjoy as you come to terms with a new life without him.

We have plenty of experience here along that journey, too!

Hugs to you and your family.

Hi Jenny, I am so sorry to hear that Chip has passed away. May he rest in peace, finally free from this evil disease.

This was me exactly a year ago. The tiredness you feel, will last a long time. I look back at my caring time, in total awe. "Did I really do all that, no wonder I am exhausted." Use those hard learnt caring skills on yourself now. Be kind to yourself, when the guilt feelings creep in, or the anger. Boot both in to the long grass, where they belong. Be proud of yourself, that you manage to care for Chip right up until the end.

Sending big hug and much love

Lots of love

Anne
