Wonderful blog. Thank you! My husband recently went into a home. He was in palliative care for five weeks after being in hospital before that, but recently went back into hospital with choking and another lung infection. Now, back at the home, the nursing care he receives is superb, but he still hankers to come home and like you, I have to explain why he can't. I say he is not yet strong enough and is still too ill. We have to take one day at a time.

I do understand how hard it is for you.

Ahhh thankyou. Sounds very similar. I'm dreading the next infection, he has them so regularly that another one is imminent. He said he nearly choked to death last night, I think his swallow is getting worse.x
