Help with a blue bage
Blue badges are not means tested. Just on physical ability. Get the former from your local council. You might need you to gp to counter sign. You will need a passport sized photo.
Once you have the blue badge you can then go down the free car tax route as you need that as proof

Age concern will help you they are very good x
if your mum has psp she should get highe rate should aplie for it
Yes, she should get the higher rate of Attendance Allowance with PSP. Your Parkinson's Support Nurse should be able to advise. Do ask someone who has a parking permit about their experience if you can, or your local Age UK. Each area has different criteria and while you might get it in one area, you may not in another. Here, they ask if you can walk between two points in town. My husband said he could. ( He did not say , with a walker and someone with him to make sure he didn't fall,) so he was turned down. I then photocopied realms of hospital notes, including those about his knee replacement that went wrong. The head of department rang me and apologised and my husband got his permit. Do be careful though, each area has its own rules about where you can and can't park. I got two £50 fines in the first year , because I misinterpreted the rules. Good luck. X
Thanks everyone xxx
