Hi everyone only posted once before, so still new. My husbands blood pressure is high and I wondered if this was something that happened with PSP?

Not that I know of, but PSP is not proud of sharing the body with any other illness. The more the merrier. Best get hubby to the GP.

Lots of love

sad but true. B may be getting his first UTI

A good slug of antibiotics and he will be fine. Just keep a good eye on his Catether bag, they get blocked very quickly, causing problems. If he asks to go for a pee, then the bag is blocked, even if you think it's OK.

My husbands B.P. has fallen since PSP. G.P. thinks it contributes to his dizziness.

Similar experience with my wife her high BP now normal with only quarter the BP meds she used to have, but could be that she is less active chair or bed bound all day. GP does not want to take her off the low dose BP meds as it could cause complications if her BP rises again. So I would say PSP could be a factor in BP either up or down but case not proven yet.

Since I've had PSP, my BP has been very good. Usually 112/60-70. Not bad for a 70 year old! I wish every thing was as good. Love, Mary B

Hi, Mary B! It's been a while since I've seen you here. How are things in Sacramento?

Yes, it might. Charles' goes up and down all the time. Medication isn't really necessary now that he is in the wheelchair which came yesterday.

Medications can make them dizzy which promotes falls and on and on............................

I check it with a wrist monitor.
