It almost doesn't feel right, writing "happy new year" so I won't.....all I'm going to say is that my best wishes and love go out to you and yours for the year ahead.

Maybe with our "new normal" we have a "new happy" too. Maybe as caregivers for our loved ones, and loved ones who have this disease, we have learned not to take any good thing that happens during the day, no matter how small it may seem, for granted. We can learn to enjoy those moments, that otherwise we might have dismissed. So building on your kind wishes, I say, may we all see the happy parts of this new year (no matter how small or fleeting) and hold those close to our hearts.

I can only like that once, Lynn, so I have to say, I like your message a lot! I was going to say something similar. I say we can wish each other Happy New Year at least because of those small moments of joy and pleasure and love. What does anyone ever have, anyway? Love to all, Ec.

Now that is what I'm talking about LynnO! Have you ever stopped amid a (an English) garden and been so taken by the lovely little pansies underneath the robust rose bushes.....So easily missed but once you set your eyes on them, for whatever reason, those little pansies are the thing that bring joy.....don't overlook joy Kate68! I "danced" with my husband yesterday...he just sat in his walker but we had a splendid time (quite frankly he didn't dance more than that before psp hahah) I was given a CD by the band playing. They were about to embark on an adventure to Argentina....another little piece of joy, meeting new young healthy folk...for the 10 minutes I talked with them in the parking lot on New Year's Eve...well let's just say it was the best New Years eve in YEARS! it wasn't much, but it was mine!!!

Always look for and never lose your JOY,

Come on Kate, we all need that tiny bit of hope that someone saying Happy New Year, gives us! Like all the other responses have said,we have a new "normal" therefore we have have a new "happy"!!!! It might not seem PC, to say Happy New Year, but I think you will agree, if we don't have that lovely feeling, of a fresh start, new beginnings and yes, that tiny bit of hope, what is there left for us????

So let's hear you say it, very loud and clear - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Sending you a very big hug for the new year!

Lots of love

Heady

Blessings to all.

I agree with Heady "happy new year" on the 1st of January when i said happy new year to Brian he replied by stuttering out happy new year beautiful wifey. So i think of that every time everyone says happy new year to me and i can smile and reply like wise.

Love and peace to you all Janexx
