Pat that is so true, wouldn't it be lovely for people to see how we really are feeling. We always say we are ok, we can cope, but deep down we are struggling. Sending you the biggest hug ever xxxxx.

I usually say," Please don't be kind to me, or I'll cry". Which is so true. I don't cry, just bottle it up but if someone is sympathetic, I fear that the floodgates will open. Weird??

No not weird at all, I said the very same thing on a post not so long ago, if anyone is sympathetic I turn into a blubbering mess!

Love....Pat xx

Thanks. Glad I'm not weird. I sometimes feel so strong as long as I keep things under wraps. I daren't think too deeply or about the future. This works well until a trauma happens or someone says a kind thing to me. Then I feel as vulnerable as a kitten. I have had cancer twice but then I never felt as scared of the future as I do now.

Don't worry, it's something we all dread! We are in a no win situation, longing for people to recognise our pain, but frightened to death they will!!!!!

I nearly wrote the same thing before reading down the replies. My occasional house cleaner was here today and I nearly broke down when she told me how glad she was to be able to help.

That's the main worry isn't it? Not knowing what the future holds or how we will cope with it! All we can do is take one day at a time, enjoy the good days when they happen and get on with the bad the best we can, because we care.

It's so hard because I agree with you, there are days when we feel strong and can handle anything, yet others when we feel a complete failure.

We are all in this together and will help each other through, please keep posting, it helps so much....

Love and hugs....Pat xx

That is what P`s lovely OT is like ! Always gives me a big hug when she goes. I too feel that anyone showing understanding/sympathy is sure to send me into floods of tears - silly isn`t it ?

Just reading these supportive messages has brought tears to my eyes. Thanks again. The sun is shining , we have just had a coffee and a "naughty" biscuit. At the moment, things don't seem so bad. Love to all.x

Everything that's fattening Heady!

I'm afraid I'm putting weight on now, I've stopped smoking and am now eating everything in sight! That plus eating all these additives the dietician has advised for Keith such as double cream in everything (yum!) I'll soon be as wide as I am tall!

Love Pat xx

You need a puppy! I have lost half a stone, since getting Ollie! Know I should lose the other half as well, but the thought of dieting at the moment is definitely one thought too many!!!!

Fake it 'til you make it, as they used to say. Pretending is what gets me through every day.
