First frost

I woke this morning and looked out over our sugar dusted garden . Across the road the blind white windows of the parked cars stared back impassively .As the sun rose over the rooftops the scene turned momentarily to a delicate shade of pink and there was an instant of perfection in this imperfect world .

How well you describe things georgepa. I love the frosty mornings I always think the world has been sprinkled with fairy dust all sparkly and when the sun shines it's just magical. Janexx

Beautifully written about a beautiful scene. Thanks for putting that picture in my mind.

Georgepa AKA the eloquent carer. You describe it so much better than I can. Here we very rarely get frost but do have an almost daily equivalent to your experience from now until next April. The mountains which surround us (albeit in the middle distance - but they are big mountains) all have snow on their peaks. We go down to the beach late afternoon and as the sun sets over the sea the snow turns pink and we get our 'moment'. I totally believe such moments do make things more bearable.

Watching the sunset over sea and snow, what a beautiful picture that must be.

Enjoy! X

You are very kind Jill but they are just bits of stuff which if I can share with my friends on this site and it helps any one to get through the day - then that's smashing. Georgepa

Reminds me how beauty is there if only we see it. So often I am not looking. Thanks. Jean

It was a beautiful day here in North Wales and I had to do a journey, I took the time to appreciate the beautiful scenery around me and the sea looked so calm, it is good to stop and think of the beauty of nature, it is momentarily very calming xxxx
