Yes Des my husband has been taking Zolpiclone for a few months, and seems now addicted. He is convinced he hasn't slept but I use a baby monitor and can hear the snoring and he sleeps in the day for 3 to4 hours. The doctor prescribed Tramadol for pain in the neck but the PSP specialist nurse thought that a bad idea. It is a minefield.I hope you can get your sleep.Good luck
I'm not familiar with that medication. However, it is my feeling that with PSP the less meds you can be on the better for the patient. My wife only took her blood pressure med and nothing else. Jimbo
My husband takes Zolpidem also. Has taken if off and on for about 4 years. He really doesn't like to take ANY medication, but without he used to not be able to sleep much at all, maybe 2 hours a night. Lately though, he will say he hasn't slept at all (with or without Zolpidem doesn't matter) and I know he does, cause I hear him snoring. He will go to bed and sit on the bed and say he needs to get up that he can't sleep and he hasn't even laid down!! When I get him to lay down he usually falls asleep quickly but if he wakes up he wants to get out of bed and watch tv. I'm sure this new change is the PSP/CBD "playing" with him. When he first started taking Z( before the PSP/CBD symptoms really kicked in), if he took the pill for several days than stopped, he would have a hard time falling asleep. Most people can take this stuff and it knocks them right out, apparently not with PSP or CBD though.
I am on Zolpidem (I found it on generic-meds-store.com) and I love it! I only take it occasionally, when I really need to sleep a longer period of time , and it works like a charm. I only take half of a 10mg tablet and I at least get 5-6 hours of good sleep and wake up just fine. Luckily, I have never had any adverse reaction but I do wind up waking up like clockwork around 4 hours after I take it. I have been having success getting back to sleep, so that is good. For me, it just does what it's supposed to do - helps me sleep!
