I heard on TV that 90 yr. old Pres. Bush has a form of Parkinson's. Does anyone know if it is PSP?

"He has vascular Parkinsonism, which causes symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease." LA Times

If it was PSP/CBD...just think of the boost it would give to all the PSP Associations....maybe it could cause a few more research foundations and big pharma to start looking at PSP in a different light!

Doesn't anyone in the limelight have PSP? How do all the film stars ,celebrities, singers ,dancers, actors actresses, billionaires keep away from this disease...What's their secret?

I think we should be told!

best, brian.

PS Except the two famous English gentlmen who had it.

Dudley Moore (actor and musician) had PSP. Look on YouTube for great interview by Barbra Walters and Dudley.

Yes Jimbo...thanks your note.I didn't mention the very talented Dudley More. And strangely enough it was thanks to him that I discovered what my wife Jo was suffering from. But not directly from that Barbra Walters Interview!

No. I was reading the Kirk Douglas book 'My Stroke of Luck' and in it Kirk writes about watching that very interview on TV. As DM came on screen Kirk could hardly recognise his old friend...and goes on to write about the illness DM was suffering from. As soon as I read that DM had lost his balance and fell regularly, I threw down the book and called my friend who had internet and asked "what did Dudley More die of?" . He called back with the reply. Although like all of us when we hear PSP mentioned for the first time ...I immediately knew what Jo had.

Our 5-year long round the globe search for a diagnosis was over.

This was confirmed a week later when we consulted with the new Neuro Professor at Geneva University Hospital

As he sat down after examining Jo and said..."I can give you my diagnosis now" I had written PSP in large letters

on my notepad and held it up for him to read. He said "Yes that's it!...are you of the Medical Profession?"

I said no I wasn't. "Oh, who told you,then?"

I replied "You're not going to believe this ,Professor, but it was the famous American actor Kirk Douglas!"

Got to go on YouTube ,Jimbo, and see that Barbra Walters interview...

Thanks for mentioning.

best,brian
