I am taking Co-enzyme Q10 at 400mg three times a day with Soya Milk. CQ10 is lipid soluble and it is not easily absorbed in the gut. I read that soya oil has a hydrophilic part to its molecule and thus CQ10 can dissolve into the oil anf then can piggy back through the stomach lining. Apparently some 300% absorption gain is achieved.
My speech has improved since starting this 6 month ago. However my balance continues to worsen as does my memory. However the deterioration is markedly slower than it was. I have no way of telling whether this is the diseases course or whether the slowing is from the CQ 10.
I hope this is helpful.

thank you Liz, medicines are different in France and our medicines are very very traditionnal ( they look at supplement like sthg for tourists) but l will buy some Coenzyme Q10 on a french website and will give to my mum. you have all my sympathy... clairev

The quality varies a lot so I use the Puritans Pride ( a quality brand) bought on their website. I reckon the price is very competitive. There will be some import duties - but the price is still good.
While you wait for Christine47 to come back on the dose - I have based my dose at the maximum used in the first (small) trial. Also on a specialist who gave a lecture and he said that if he had PSP he would use this at that dose. The big issue is absorbing it. So it must be had with a meal to get some fats to dissolve it. Japanese research showed an increase of 300% absorbed if taken with soya oil. the trouble is so much research seems to be tied to marketing!
Thankyou for your kind wishes and I wish you and yours well.
