Abiraterone & Dreams

I am Gleason 8, diagnosed in 8/2023, had 5 weeks of radiation + brachy Therapy , have been on lupron monthly shots since 11/2023 and Abiraterone daily since 2/2024. I self-cath before going to be. Since beginning Abiraterone, I have lots of dreams, all of which seem to create anxiety, and gets me up several times a night.

I had been taking my abiraterone in the middle of the night so I could have no eating 2 hours before and 2 hours after dose.

3 days ago I started taking the abiraterone when I first got up, waiting 2 hours until any ingestion of liquid or food. For 3 nights, I have slept thru the night AND have had no dreams. I don't think this is a coincidence.

I am 71 years old and have been taking Abiraterone with a Monthly shot of Eligard. for two years this month. I have always taken Abiraterone first thing in the morning and set my timer for one hour. I have coffee while waiting an hour to eat breakfast. I haven’t had any problems with this method. Good luck on your journey.
