Looks like they took 3 samples from two lesions. Target 1-2 is second biopsy sample from lesion 1. I am assuming you had mri that identified two lesions. Right?

if you didn’t have a mri guided biopsy, then it just an indication of a region in a systematic biopsy

It's just their code for the targeted areas. It looks like they took 3 cores from 2 suspicious areas, and 2 cores from the rear apex. Fortunately, every treatment option - surgery, SBRT, brachytherapy - has an excellent chance of being curative. Take your time. Meet with specialists. There's no reason to rush into anything.

Welcome to the Forum! It's great that you're starting early to ask questions. You will find a wealth of knowledge here.

What's your PSA? PIRADS score? MRI stage? With that, we can determine your NCCN risk group (which helps guide treatment choices).

You might ask about MRI directed SBRT. It was available till last October but company turnover made it unavailable till recent turnaround. It should be back soon at UCLA. I had it in September and quite easy. Data shows considerably less side effects that CT guided SBRT. 5 treatments over 5 or 10 days. Just lay in machine for 45 minutes each time . With your pathology you have time so don’t push for immediate treatment till explore options. Brachytherapy is also good option with excellent long term data

Here is a good website to compare odds of cure for the major treatment paths. You have to determine your stage, low risk, intermediate, or high risk (risk of recurrence). So if you are intermediate, pull up the intermediate chart and you can see the odds of 10-20 yr survival, etc. based on the treatment you pick.

It is best viewed on computer or just print it on paper. Not so viewable on phone.

To make the graphs easier to read, i drew a dot on the endpoints of the elipses, and then drew a line through the dots. This turns the elipses into lines.

Also be aware the the graphs don’t show any salvage radiation benefit. This would boost the surgery odds up a bit.

And, this is a very dysfunctional industry from my view. Loads of bad info mixed in with the good info. Same with the docs. Some of them are more dangerous than the cancer.
