Will miss 2 daily doses of Orgovyx (repercussions?)

The pharmacy sent me several bottles of Orgovyx in Jan.. As a result I mindlessly assumed I had another bottle when I ran out of my last pill today! The pharmacy is closed over the weekend so I have to wait until Monday to order more. They’ll overnight it I’m sure but I will be missing 2 straight doses. Will this be a big problem? Thanks

Yes, T comes back very fast after Orgovyx.

Even if testosterone comes back quickly if orgovyx is stopped, I don’t think 2 days missed is going to make much difference. Besides what else can you do? Worrying won’t help. Relax. It’ll be fine.

scooter- i was on orgovyx for a month; they had instructions for missed dosages. according to their literature:

"Do not change your dose or stop taking ORGOVYX without talking with your healthcare provider first.

• If you miss a dose of ORGOVYX, take it as soon as you remember. If the dose was missed by more than 12 hours,

the missed dose should not be taken. Take your next dose at your regular time the next day. "

Yes, but I’m gonna miss, at least, 2 straight days. I think I should be ok as long as I don’t miss a week. If that should happen I think I’d have to “preload” again with 3 tablets the 1st day. Thanks.

I'm on Orgovyx too... I researched it greatly before starting and although it is stated that it stops it's magic quicker than other ADTs, what can you do?.... Simply resume regular dosing when you're restocked... I'd really be surprised if this alone will cause you any major setbacks... Stay positive and accept what happened.... All will be fine I'll bet!.... Sending a prayer brother 🙏

I did the same thing last week! However, the "overnight" shipment still hasn't arrived. So I will be more than 7 days without a tablet. In which case I'll need to do the 3 pill initial dose and then resume the single daily dose. Coincidently, my last IMRT (39 treatments) is tomorrow, Monday the 20th and I have labs scheduled for Tuesday the 21st, so I am interested to see my T levels after 7 days without Orgo as compared to my last labs. I'll let you know.

My oncologist mentioned one day that “if I missed a day or two it wouldn’t matter”. I never have and hope I don’t but I hope that puts your mind at ease.

How long do you have to take it? I’m on month 9 of 18.

I’m 18 mos. into a 2 year Orgovyx journey. Amazingly, after calling & leaving a message this weekend at the closed pharmacy, FedEx delivered 2 more mos. of Orgovyx yesterday! I only missed 1 day! 🙏 for all of us on this journey!

What should I do if I miss a dose of ORGOVYX?

If it’s been 12 hours or less since you were supposed to take ORGOVYX, take it as soon as possible.

If it’s been more than 12 hours since you were supposed to take ORGOVYX, don’t take the missed dose. Take your next ORGOVYX dose at your regular time the next day.
