I’ve also had chemo (2018) and have been on Zytiga for the past 12 months. Neuropathy can be a side effect from both treatments. I have some in both feet.

Thanks Tallguy. Yeah, am aware both can contribute. Are you doing anything for it. Doesn’t seem to be a lot that can be done. Also are you having any signs of orthostatic hypotension? I having that as well. I do a lot of research on this demon we are carrying and so many things can happen. Overall I’m doing pretty good. Was unable to take 1000 of zytiga. Lft’s blew up. Taking 250 with food. So far lft’s mid normal. AlkPhos low and psa 0.07.

I have had neuropathy from other drugs. Her is my list of prescriptioos and suppliments I take for it.

Neuropathy supplements

1. Mirapex 1 tablet 0.25mg - prescription

2. Gabapentin 2 capsules (300mg) - prescription

3. Acetyl L-Carnitine 1 capsule 500mg - over the counter

4. Leg Cramps (by Hylands) 2 tablets over the counter

5. Aleve PM 2 220mg - over the counter. Because Aleve can cause liver damage with long term use I have substituted Zyflamend 1 capsule.

I take each of these drugs at least 20 minutes apart in the early evening. This helps me get a good nights sleep. The effects last all day long

Gabapentin 100mg in the evening and 2 500mg Acetaminophen at bed time give me relief

I have read that Jevtana has a better profile concerning neuropathy. Of those that have experienced it, which chemo did you receive?

Yes, at first I thought it was from blood sugar but it's more likely the cancer drugs.

Sorry to hear about your neuropathy. If you can get a referral, you may want to consult with a neurologist. It can be important to determine root cause if you are thinking about any sort of treatment or therapy for the condition. A lot of things can cause neuropathy so it's good to narrow things down a bit. Good luck.
