Yes, of course have salvage radiation. The sulforaphane in the Pomi-T may have slowed progression a bit (the other ingredients have been proved useless) but it is not a cure. If you have the salvage radiation soon, you might still be able to catch the cancer before it spreads beyond the prostate bed.
I am very suspicious of "antioxidants" as a class, but I'm open to the possibility that some molecules that might have some antioxidant effect also have other value. It has to be proven to be safe and effective in an RCT.
Long story short: add some ground mustard seeds or horseradish to cooked broccoli to replace an essential enzyme which is destroyed in cooking.
I’ve been making a big pot of broccoli or cauliflower soup every week since my diagnosis, and I’ve been missing out on the sulforaphane all this time! Thanks TA for the heads up!
You can also try eating one raw floret of broccoli or cauliflower along with the cooked veggies. It doesn't take much myrosinase enzyme to get full absorption of sulforaphane.
I started POMI T before surgery. My situation remains different: I had no post op rise in PSA. If I had your numbers I would select salvage RT. I would reject the inevitable offer from my RO and MO for ADT. POMI T at best suppresses tumor growth; it is not curative. Some argue that POMI T suppresses the lab test in vitro. I do not accept that argument. Good luck.
I have drank 8oz of pomegranate juice every morning for 5yrs. I started in 2015 ,3yrs after my prostatectomy when my PSA had risen to .04 . My PSA went back to undetectable and stayed there a year until it started bouncing around a bit then gradually started a slow rise to .22 (April, 2018) at which time I started SRT(no ADT). My PSA is now .05 which to this point is still my nadir. I have absolutely no doubt that the pomegranate juice has helped suppress my PC but I've never envisioned it as a cure and neither should you. My advice is to find a good RO and take a serious look at SRT right away. Oh, and unless one of your doc's have an objection to it, keep taking your Pomi-T. Good Luck !
