Peeing issues

Finished my 5th Cyberknife 4 days ago. Still having issues with Urinating. Burning sensation and cannot empty my bladder. Taking AZO & Flowmax. How long will this go on ?

It lasted for about 2 weeks in my case. Starting a week after treatment ended. I found that Rapaflo worked a lot better than Flomax. I also took 2 naproxen/day to help with inflammation.

Hi Dewmaster, I take 2 Flomax, 1 in AM, 1 in PM, and as noted by Tall_Allen, I take 2 ibuprofen at night. Still can take me a good 60 - 90 seconds to get things flowing, but eventually it happens. There is ALWAYS a stoppage/pause, however, where I have to resist the urge to zip up , because sure enough in 15-20 seconds a final stream will come out. Good Luck, judg69

I'm in pretty much the same situation as you are. Burning, frequency, urgency started after my 2nd session of SBRT. It was very bothersome (interfered with sleep and made me dread peeing), and I thought that maybe I couldn't continue with the treatment. My RO prescribed Flomax 0.8mg (2 pills) at bedtime, and 400mg of ibuprofen three times daily. The symptoms resolved almost completely within one day, and SBRT continues.

About a year out from SBRT, still on Flomax. 2 pills around dinner time. Still getting up a few times at night, but without pain. Bearable, but hope for improvement.

I have to " pee " 3 or 4 times a night - I have introduced a urinal/piss bucket to my life can do it without waking all the way up -

and those little pads you wear in your Jockey shorts help with the dripping/leak " not really empty" moments. They really work.

Are you on any other medications? When I started Zytiga I had horrible teeth clenching pain during urination that lasted for months.

No, just Flomax and AZO. However, I started using ibuprofen today. Still, having issues but they seem to be diminishing ever so slightly.

I finished my VMAT RT Hypofractionnated 3 Gy X 20 Fx on July7th 2020.

Mid Rx I started to have burning during miction. My RO asked for Urine Analysis and Culture with negative result. He put me on Tamsulosin CR 0.8 mg/id and Toviaz 8 mg/id.

3 months later, I wake up 3 to 4 time a night and every 2 hours during the day. Burning sensation and miction stopped at 3/4, then I press on my bladder and manage to empty my bladder.

I am still on ADT, Lupron Depot 22.5 mg/12 weeks X 2, last one on August 24th 2020.

PSA = 0.03 ug/L and T < 0.2 nmol/L or <5.7684 ng/dL. The MAIN effect should stop on November 16th 2020 then if I am lucky SE until May 2021.

Talked with my RO this morning (2020/10/21) and getting a R/V with my urologist on 2020/10/28 and hope to have some relief.
