First post op PSA

I just had my 6 week follow up (by phone)

My PSA is undetectable!!

I repeat the test and visit in 6 weeks. And the urologist cleared me for my next operation - major rebuilding of my legs.

I’m a double leg amputee. We are going to do Osseo-Integration where they implant something in each stump to make attaching the prosthetics sturdy and more natural.

In my limited experience, there is an enormous amount of price gouging with some of these drugs. My local pharmacy however, sold me small (20 mg.) sildenafil for about $0.50 per pill. Pretty sure that the tadalafil (generic Cialis) is not much more. Call around. It pays to have a small independent pharmacy with a pharmacist you know personally.

Congrats on the non-detectable PSA. Repeating in just 6 weeks seem a bit overly vigilant--I'm about 18 months post-op and I get tested only every 6 months.

Generic viagra and cialis are dirt cheap. I went to GoodRx and printed a coupon (not sure if I needed to, I think the pharmacist at Star Market Pharmacy has his own coupons) and paid very very little. Tadalafil is a bit more than sildenafil, and the strength affects the price a little, but from what I recall (and I didn't pay attention cuz it was so cheap) they ranged from 40cent to 65cents a pill, perhaps less than the copays with good private insurance.
