After a couple of weeks post EBRT most annoying side effects cleared up, and was doing pretty good. Started to wein off the silodosin, and kept taking 10mg Cialis almost daily. Just before Christmas I started to notice a slight burning throughout urination. I had a urine culture done, which came up negative. The burning is still there (tolerable), and I now notice times of weak flow/pressure again, along with sensitive bowels. And a lot of gas! Almost as if I've regressed back to how I felt a couple of weeks into EBRT. I am following up with my RO, but I thought some personal feedback from wise men here would be great.

I had IMRT post HDR-BT last August and as I remember, those were the SE's that were mentioned as possible in the latter part of IMRT tx. It turned out I didn't have any except for tiredness and high blood pressure. Urinary flow was excellent as the tumor was debulked and reduced pressure on the urethra. Possibly the area around your prostate is inflamed and swollen from the radiation putting pressure on the urethra on one side and the rectum on the other. Possibly the lymph nodes in that area are carrying more waste byproducts and are swollen. I would make exercise a priority to keep the lymph system working at it's maximum efficiency.
Interesting report. I’m one week post EBRT and have same symptoms across the board as yours. Would be very interested in what your Dr has to say after your visit.
Best to you going forward and hopefully improvement with side effects.
Things are better now. Probably due to changing what I drink and eat. As well as going back to the once a day Rapaflo, and sticking with that for a longer period. I found that any type of soda, too much coffee, and raw veggies, were creating excess gas/bowel and bladder irritation.
Good luck to you, and hopefully quite soon your SE's will dissipate.
