Has anyone got cured by Salvage radiation?

Has anyone got cured by salvage radiation? My ex had prostatectomy and then his PSA never went down to 0 and rose from 0.2 to 0.5 he is having salvage radiation fright now. I hope he gets cured.

Thank you, Allen! He had his operation in February and Negative margins. He had the most advance scans and they didn't find the mets. His PSA before the Rad was 0.5 His doctor keeps telling him that they really don't know where the cancer cells are. If they are in the prostate bed, he will survive, if not then...

Hello. Radiation wasn’t too bad for me. First the prostate bed then we blasted a lymph node in the pelvic area. I had a scan that’s called Gallium 68 pet/ct scan. That’s how they found the lymph node. Still after that my PSA was on a steady rise. Had another Gallium scan about a year later. They found more in the pelvic lymph nodes and one in my shoulder. Started lupron and it dropped. Radiation treatments affect everyone differently. I’d try and get the gallium scan before treatment if possible.
