Update..HIFU didnt get all the cancer

Following up to share my progress. The HIFU from July reduced PSA from 8 to 1.5, but then started increasing to 2.5. Subsequent MRI shows the left apex area that was 11 x11 mm of cancer (3+4) is reduced but still 7x6 mm. Not sure what happens next....Maybe salvage Cyberknife? Anyone have that experience?

That's often a problem with focal ablation. You could try retreating, but I think salvage focal brachytherapy or salvage whole gland SBRT are your best options.

Yes I have the same experience ,but mine was Salvage HIFU as I had had Radiotherapy which had also failed, I am 78 years old an I cannot have RP, so I don`t think I have any more options, But a the moment I am OK they give me Casodex when my PSA shoots up but nothing else has been offered to clear it, hoping for someone to come up with a new drug ?I am in London UK

Just got my 9 month post HIFU psa and its 0.3, You can retreat with HIFU, or try cryotherapy, or use drugs.
