I would make an appointment to see a GP instead. It should be fine if you explain that you couldn't get an appointment. Due to cuts midwife services in our area have been halved so I can hardly ever get to see my midwife so I see the doctor and he does the health checks. Look at when your next MW appointment should be after this one and get that one booked in now.
If you Look in your notes it will.say when you.need to see your midwife. I saw mine at around 16 weeks but i do know it is different in all places. Like Sam said the Dr will be able to do all the same checks.
Hi, Do not panic. ( i know easy to say ) but i think you can easily wait . On my 16 wks visit midwife weighted me , checked my blood pressure and gave me my blood test results ( which she took on previous visit ) you are not missing anything big . Do not panic, this is very routine check and if you will wait 2 weeks i don’t think that will change anything .
Just relax and enjoy you Christmas.
hey dear, don`t worry midwife just cheak your b.p and after 12 week they scan your child .but most inportant folic acid you get by prgnacare tablet folic acid riquer 4ooiq.and u eat more fruits like apple and orange u aivod painaple.
I think you should try and make an appointment with your GP. It's all very well saying that your midwife will "only" check your BP and do your bloods, but these things are important to ensure than any problems are caught early. Have you seen your midwife at all? Have you had your twelve week scan? If so, it's not such a big issue.
thanx every1.e1 my gp is closed during Christmas. but still i tried to make an automated appointment but i dint get the appointment, l try to call dem on monday and get an appointment. hope everything will be fine.
This appointment should be between 16 - 18 weeks of your pregnancy.I will be perfectly ok to see the midwife at 18 weeks at this early stage in your pregnancy.Remember that a lot of GPs only do a limited amount of obstetric training,so are not as experienced as your midwife!I would see midwife over GP
