FLU JAB?? i am 8 weeks pregnant and my doctor has booked me in for a flu jab tomorrow morning,i am such a worry bags about everything since

finding out im pregnant. just wondered if anyone has had it done,am i having it done at the right stage my doctor worried me after mentioning miscariage links? proberly just being neurotic again

Hi I have got my flue jab booked in so would be interested to see what people say who have had it. I just thought it was normal to get it done? I know some one who is pregnant and got a cold and they where really bad as they couldn't take antibiotics to get rid of it so they felt ill for quite some time... thats what made me want it!

hi, i ended up cancelling my jab yesterday as i had got in such a state about it, but i rang my surgery and spoke to the nurse who spoke to the doctor and they assured me its perfectly safe for baby so i have re-booked it for next week as they said flu can be fatal in pregnancy. i think i will worry about everything till babys here. good luck x

Hi, im 11 weeks and having my flu jab today. I had a real dilema purely because my husband is out of the country and was reading lots of negative things about it.( too much googling to my mind,) whilst i was for it.

I have spoken to lots of people including a good friend whose a doctor and had 2children, and am assured there is nothing to worry about as the jab given is the in-active kind.

I have to say ive worried more the past few weeks waiting for my jab and seeing people with flu and holding my breath not to catch it!!

My husband and i have agreed to trust my instincts on these things now when we discuss them.

thank you that has really put my mind at rest, i ended up cancelling my jab yesterday as i got myself so worried after googling it (bad bad idea, my partner has threatned to take away all my technology so i cant scare myself anymore) but after speaking to the nurse i have re-booked for next week. hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy x
