Lower back pain at 13 weeks

Hi,

I woke up with really bad lower back pains. Is this normal??

Hi Tina 2-3,

I have suffered with back pain from the start of my pregnancy and I and now 2 days shy of 12 weeks. - think this is normal and should not cause any alarm unless of course you feels it more than back ache and affecting your daily routine then you would probably want to speak to your doctor . But chances are its normal backache that comes from your uterus and muscles expanding .

I had almost no back pain in my first pregnancy, but loads with my current pregnancy. But I agree with Mum2b, if it's concerning you, severe or interfering with your normal routines, then speak to your GP or midwife.
