5-6 Weeks Pregnant & Started Bleeding

5-6 weeks pregnant, waiting for my first appointment that has been booked in for 3 weeks from today and started bleeding this evening (see pic, sorry for tmi). Has this happened to any mums that have gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? Really worried 😣

Hey,

Sorry to see that you are worried.

Just wanted to send you some positive vibes. I got pregnant with my frozen transfer and I had a bleed like this that looked similar to a period and lasted about 5/6 days. At the time I was 8 week’s pregnant. Like you I was very worried but I had an emergency scan at the epu and the baby was fine and he’s now 17 months old. It’s hard not to think the worst but bleeding is normal in some pregnancy’s. Well it was for me. Sending you lots love xxx stay strong 💪

Hi hun I’m the same boat, I’m 5 week 4 day post FET. Yesterday I passed clots and red bleeding for about 45mins to an hour. Rang the clinic and they said it’s not uncommon and they weren’t worried. I was told to say on medication and have a scan on Thursday. I hope all is okay xx

This is reassuring! Although the bleeding has increased since last night! How much bleeding did you experience over the 5/6 days please? I am not experiencing a normal period but definitely a lot more than just spotting, especially now that it is getting heavier. EPU won't see me until next week so it's just a waiting game for now.

It was like a full period. It was bright red, fresh blood. Can you not pay for a private scan? Just to put your mind at ease. How is this bleeding now? xxx

Thanks for replying. I really hope my situation will be similar x I am struggling to find anywhere that will scan. Perhaps I should not be upfront on my reason as they have all recommended me to my midwife instead and have declined the scan request. The bleeding is about the same (maybe slightly less).

Hello, it is possible to have a healthy pregnancy after an early bleed, apparently 75% of all pregnancies have some kind of bleeding, however you should contact your midwife or Early Pregnancy Unit asap and see if you can get checked out. Take care, try not to worry too much. Sending you loads of love and good wishes xxx

I had the same situation 11 months ago but thanks to God my baby is ok and now she is 5 months old don't worry just be positive and go to A&E straight way. Don't worry I am sending blessings to your baby and you

Hi there the exact same thing happened to me and I was referred to EPU they couldn’t do an abdominal scan however you may get a trans vaginal scan and they will be able to confirm baby is ok! I know it’s so scary and I’m sending positive vibes to you and hope all is ok! X
