Hi, everyone with PCOS will be different depending on how severe it is but I have PCOS and severe endometriosis and after having some (not all) of my endo removed in an operation I then took 9months to fall pregnant (my beautiful daughter is now 10months old and very healthy and happy) and we achieved that despite my symptoms meaning I only ovulate every 3 months! Jamie Oliver’s wife also has PCOS and has had 5 children so there is plenty of hope!

I have pcos and me and my husband was trying 5 years to have a baby without medication, this is because my gynecologists said i didn't need it, but after trying for 5 years in the end my gynecologists decided to gove me metformin, but when i went for a scan to see how bad my pcos was it turned out i was 6 weeks pregnant which was such a big shock, So you can fall pregnant naturally with pcos but some people it takes time and in some cases it takes a very lot of time, i now have a nutty 3 year old who keeps me very busy lol x

Hi sweetchild1989, thank you for you’re time to responded back. That’s beautiful news congratulations on you’re little girl. How did you manage to track when you ovulated to the 3 month mark ? I have no idea 😢

Hi,I have severe PCOS - unfortunately it took us a long time and a lot of medication 🙈 but I did have a successful pregnancy at 37. I can’t say how long we ‘tried’ as such but I was aware I didn’t ovulate so we hadn’t used contraception in about 13 years. Clomid didn’t work so we moved to IVF and our 3rd cycle worked. I am in a Facebook group for women with pcos who are TTC though and would say the vast majority fall pregnant a lot sooner than that and often with much less intervention so don’t let me put you off 😂 If you are struggling to conceive there is an amazing board on here called Fertility Network with loads of supportive and friendly women going through the same xx

Hi solly, wow that’s a long time and could feel you’re urge to wanting to become a mum and finally you are a mummy now 👏🏻

I did fall pregnant with out knowing and miss-carriage early in December 2020 New Years. I didn’t know I had PCOS until then when we had an internal scan. Me and my husband at that time did not use anything for 5 years maybe just the pulling out method and oddly inside and never fell so I can’t say how long it took me.

With having the jabs it’s messed my period up to so now I don’t know where I am at. I actually don’t know when I ovulate which would help massively.

Thank you for you’re response

Hi solly, could you please let me know what sites you are on to join would be amazing please thank you.

Hi I have pcos too , the first time it took almost an year to get pregnant even though I have regular periods . I would suggest being active and maintaining a healthy weight would help a lot. Second time I was exercising and less stressed while trying so it happened by 3rd month … good luck to you … hope it happens soon .

Hi Layla, amazing story to here you are a mummy now. Did you have medication at all ? I have periods five or take 3 days over so I would say 31 days cycle. Sometimes I have come in 2-3 days early before rough due date but I guess that’s PCOS for you. It’s had to track when ovulation which I dont know when I do. Also having the injections have really thrown my out with my periods my January one was 11 days over and currently due my other period the 18.2.22 and still haven’t had a period yet the systems are there and no sign!! Not a positive test either which is heart breaking. Gong to try and contact doctor for advise.

Sorry to go on, thank you for you’re response

My doctor and I had decided to start medication if I didn’t conceive after an year or so which happened on its own so never had any medication. Even pcos or not , some people can take time to conceive, I think a day late or early is normal too , just stay positive and try as much you can 😜 . Even after conceiving I had a bleeding episode but luckily everything went well after that . So good luck to you , I used to take long walks when stressed while trying phase I remember it helps a lot … 😃

Hi I was diagnosed with pcos from my 17 I was struggling with normal period it was irregular and painful and constantly had cysts on both my ovaries and had surgery of one of cyst removed. Doctor told that will be hard for me to get pregnant. But I read a lot about this problem and tried to solve it without medication because after surgery I had to take really strong hormonal contraception. I got pregnant at 38 but was planned before I didn't try to get pregnant. And after 3 months trying we got successfully pregnant. All pcos is because your hormonal imbalance and ideas as well your kidneys Are little bit weak. You have to support your kidneys. I can just tell you what helped me. Before when we were start to trying at least 3 months before I started to take enzymes particularly wobenzym it will help softened your follicles and create better environment for sperms. I was drinking nettle tea long time ago it will help to kick kidneys but nettle drink just 2 weeks than you have to have 2 weeks off. For hormonal ballance you can use yarrow tea this tea is very effective when you have cysts as well. For hormonal balance is good maca powder as well. Kurkuma with black pepper is realy good for kicking your period but do not use it when you start actually trying you can miscarrie

And try to do some relaxation techniques.

Thank you so much for you’re response and you’re successful pregnancies it’s amazing 🙌🏻🙏🏻❤️

Thank you for making me at ease and giving me help with techniques and medicine I really appreciate it.

I have a few things booked in with the doctors with blood tests for hormones and to see if I am ovulating i think. Also should be having an ultrasound done to see the full extent.

Thank you 😊

Hi , welcome...I hope that everything go well for you....and what I forgot to mention is what you eat is really important as well...try to eat healthier more vegetables and white meat...I don'tknow if you did try check your basal temperature as well .. from beginning was hard for me it looked like I'm not ovulating I had really slight body temperature increase but was fine....and once you will have confirmation that you are pregnant stop using all teas and wobenzym...than it's just normal pregnancy vitamins

I was diagnosed with PCOS after trying for a year. I became pregnant on the very first month of the first medication they tried me on! I appreciate that everyone’s journey is different, but there is hope with PCOS that it can happen quite quickly x
