Hiya can you still do your normal exercise whilst pregnant? I have been doing HIIT and weight training for 18 months, I train 5/6 times a week and have just found out I am pregnant. can I still train?

Many Thanks

Congratulations on your pregnancy ❤️You're probably better off checking your routine with your midwife because no one on here is medically trained. One thing to bare in mind with exercising is that your body will produce relaxin as your pregnancy progresses your joints will be a bit loose so you're more susceptible to injury.

I do hiit regular also and have done for some time. I have been advised not to in the early stages. Especially 5/6 times per week as it is a lot of up and down and all around movements. Better to clarify with your doctor. Also let your gym instructor know you are pregnant and they will give alternate moves to some workouts.

Check with your doctor but general advice is you can but you must be able to have a conversation while doing so.
