About three and a half weeks after I stopped bleeding from m/c, I got what I think was a period.
I had light spotting that lasted one day then two days later I unexpectedly got my period really heavy too, I bled right through to my chair which is very unusual for me.
The odd thing is despite it being a really heavy period, I had no pain whatsoever (never happens, I always have period pain) and it only lasted about five hours before disappearing completely.
That was four days ago, and while I had no pain at the time and the bleeding has stopped, now I’ve got back pain feeling like my period is about to start but no bleeding whatsoever.
I’m so confused- was that my period or something else entirely?
Any advice or experiences appreciated 🙏

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, it can take a few cycles to get back to your normal rhythm after a miscarriage as your hormones return to normal and I think you're also more aware of your periods and cycle after a miscarriage. I found after my miscarriage I was much more focused on how my body felt than I would normally be. Hope they return to normal for you soon xx
Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I had one in February and my period was all over the place afterwards and weirdly i couldn’t feel anything or tell when it was coming, even ovulating, normally I could tell when I was ovulating but after the miscarriage I had no sensations what so ever. After this cycle it should go back to normal. Have you had a follow up scan to make sure everything is okay after the miscarriage? If all of the tissue hasn’t naturally come out then that can lead to problems, so if you have irregular bleeding and high temps maybe give your doc a call. X
Thank you! Just looking forward to it going back to normal I’m so used to knowing it inside out. Same as you I can even feel ovulation and now I have no clue what’s happening! Yes I had a scan at the end and everything was cleared out a few weeks ago.
My PMS symptoms have changed totally since my MC last October. I now get nausea most months and really sore breasts (which I never had before) but no period pains any more… threw me for months, especially the nausea, but now it’s been almost a year guess this is my own ‘new normal’?!
Thanks for sharing! That’s so strange! I have had sore breasts for ages and still feel like I’m about to get my period so I have no idea if the one day bleed I had was a period or it wasn’t and it’s about to start, it’s all very confusing! Just hoping to somewhat go back to ‘normal’ soon Xxxx
Mine was different to normal too - very heavy but little pain as well! I'm now into my second month post-miscarriage and haven't ovulate when I usually would (according to OPKs) so things have clearly moved around a bit. Wishing you the best on your journey, and lots of healing too. For me, having my period brought a lot of feelings back relating to my MC, which was quite horrible. I hope time is a healer.
Thank you so much for responding, sorry to hear you went through it too. I don’t think I ovulated either! Same here, my second period post mc wasn’t painful at all which is unusual for me anyway, and after hearing from others this was a surprise. Most accounts I’ve read women say it’s much more painful than usual! Thank you for the kind words, sending you lots of healing X
