Trying again after miscarriage

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I unfortunately had a miscarriage at 11+5 weeks. We wanted to try again straight away spoke to the doctor and was told we could try again as soon as we felt ready (as long as bleeding stopped and miscarriage had completed). I was wondering if anyone fell pregnant straight after miscarriage and if you have any tips and when you took a pregnancy test as there is no period to go off of.

I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks+6 days on the 19th September. I bled for over a week and then I had a period on October 31st and November 24th. I found out I was pregnant again December 26th. I'm now 37 weeks and 1 day!

I've heard of people conceiving earlier than this though. It was a personal choice for us to allow myself to have atleast one period before we tried again as the miscarriage was traumatic and I lost alot of blood, we wanted to allow my body to heal properly. We started 'trying' straight after I stopped bleeding though really, we just didn't plan anything and let nature take over! Good luck x

I had a miscarriage end of April, had a period in may and I’m now 10 weeks pregnant I don’t think we expected that it could happen this fast it is just when ever you feel ready to try again xxx

I had a miscarriage at around the same caught 2 weeks later found out exactly 4 weeks after the miscarriage but sadly miscarried again at 4+5. I then went on to get pregnant a 3rd time again as soon as I got a negative test and now have a healthy 8 month old x

So as soon as I had a negative we started trying again, I ovulated 2 weeks later & had a positive 2 weeks after that

I was told to wait until after your first period which is what we did and caught straight away x

I had a miscarriage 11+5 days this month. Little complicated. Two lots of tablets didn’t work (I had a blight ovum so no signs of miscarriage but the sac was empty) and then planned surgery but I passed the sac the day before surgery. I’ve done a pregnancy test with the fainted of lines 10 days after but my digital ovulation test says no is peak times!! We are trying now because of that but do wonder if the ovulation stick is incorrect due to my hormones?! As I wouldn’t normally ovulate on day 10 but equally I had tablets week and 2 weeks before that so my timing is probably all over the place. I’ve heard you’re most fertile in your first month and the doctors weren’t against me trying again this month xx

Definitely wait until you test negative- I tested positive after my miscarriage for w good few weeks xx

Hi,

I had a mc in April it was an ivf pregnancy. I miscarried at home natrually.. took a test to confirm negative.. I then had my first period a week later. I tracked my ovulation every day until it was a strong positive we then tried natrually and got pregnant im now almost 16 weeks. Trying naturally straight after mc I definitely recommend that's if you are ready.

It took me 5 mths after my 1st mc which I mc again then took me 3 mths again mc then I’ve had a chemical about a year later then 3 mths after another chemical. I tried straight after each mc as I’m older felt every mth counted. Still no baby for me tho but I’m 40 now chances are slim mc tests were fine just age related.
