Bleeding 5 weeks

Hi lovelies

iam 5+4 weeks pregnant and having bleeding dont know what to do or think iam so scared to have a miscarriage

please tell me there is hope

Do you have a midwife you can call or your doctor? I would get checked out just to be safe. Is the blood bright red or is it more darker brownish blood? If it’s brownish blood then it’s likely implantation blood. Try not to panic, I know women who have bled in their pregnancies and they’ve been absolutely fine.

I’ve had 3 miscarriages so my advice would always be just call someone to get it checked out, it could be nothing but just for reassurance.

Also just to add, I’m 8 weeks pregnant and I’ve also been bleeding, luckily I’ve had a scan and baby is absolutely fine, so try not to worry.

Thank you for the response I went to the hospital they just checked my hcg levels which were fine but had no slots available for scan at the moment

I will be going tomorrow for the scan

please pray that everything is okay and healthy

That’s good news if your HCG levels are fine. That was my first indication that I was miscarrying, mine were really low. When the actual miscarriage happened it felt very much like an intense period, similar to period pains.

It can be completely normal to bleed in pregnancy but I know how worrying it is. I just want to get through my 12 weeks and then I can start feeling excited about the pregnancy.

the first thing I asked the nurse was about my hcg levels and they were good so felt better that maybe iam still in the safe zone?

And I know these 12 weeks are dreading

I bled at 5 weeks and baby is fine, it could just be an implantation bleed x

I had bleeding from 5-8wks. It was quite light, more like spotting & when I went for a scan, everything was fine and they didn’t know why I was bleeding. Fast forward to now, I have a lovely 5 month old so just remember that bleeding doesn’t necessarily lead to a miscarriage! Hope your scan goes well. X
