Born with lower teeth

Hi All… Just looking for some reassurance. My LG was born with two lower teeth and she was referred to children’s dentist. Her dentist said that it’s neonatal teeth and it will fall once the baby teeth starts emerging. It’s been a year and she has got 4 upper teeth and one premolar on the way but no signs of teeth in the lower jaw. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Has the teeth grown ? I am so worried 😟.

Thanks.

Teeth are weird, seems to be no really accurate prediction of when they will come. My LG only had 4 teeth until she was about 16 months old then they all started coming through when others her age had almost a full set. You can book her an appointment with your own dentist if you’re worried :) they encourage you pasty taking them early anyway so it’s a good habit xxx

My baby was not born with any teeth but she did take a long time to grow any! Got her first teeth (bottom 2) at 14 months and now finally has 4 teeth at the top coming through at 17 months. I’ve looked into this and apparently it’s normal for some babies not to have any teeth until 18 months. So they are probably just taking their time. If you are worried then definitely see your dentist to put your mind at ease. But it is most likely nothing to worry about x
