1 week pregnant

I had a miscarriage 6 months ago.

I was only 5 weeks when it happened. I am now 1 week post ovulation and my body is giving me the same signs of pregnancy- sore breasts- indicating I am pregnant again. Obviously super early days but I wanted to find out how I can ensure I don’t have another miscarriage.

I am taking my pregnancy vitamins.

And ensuring I am not stressed out.

Any other ideas?

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I had a missed miscarriage at 14 weeks in my first pregnancy. Unfortunately there really isn't anything you can do to prevent a miscarriage sadly, but I found it reassuring to know that most people who have a miscarriage go on to have a successful pregnancy so hopefully that will be the same for you, it was right for me I went on to have a healthy pregnancy xx

Thank you. That is very encouraging. I am grateful both times I tried I fell pregnant straight away. Which is a huge relief too.

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I’ve had 3. The first was a missed miscarriage discovered at 9 weeks, then a healthy pregnancy, then a miscarriage at 5 weeks, then a healthy pregnancy, then a miscarriage last October at 11 weeks and I’m now 13 weeks pregnant and everything looks good. I completely understand how anxious you must feel, but there’s not anything you can do to stop a miscarriage if it’s going to happen as most miscarriages are due to a problem with the developing embryo which means it can’t survive, you didn’t do anything to cause the miscarriage. All you can do is eat healthy, take pregnancy vitamins, drink plenty of water, stay active, no smoke or drink alcohol, avoid too much caffeine, don’t take any painkillers other than paracetamol and try not to worry too much. Wishing you lots of luck xx
