Hi I am Becca currently 26 weeks pregnant, finding it hard to relax though as last year at my very first 12 week scan found out there was not heartbeat and that I had a missed miscarriage, then need a erpc operation to remove baby ☹️ However everything with this pregnancy is going well so far.

Hi Becca, thanks for sharing. I'm sure that positive thinking and maintaining yourself busy in other parts of your life will enable you to overcome the normal anxiety you are feeling with this pregnancy.

Stick to the fact that at 26 weeks, the probability of something happing is much lower that at 12 weeks.

Meditation or other relaxing techniques can also help you. I took a hypnobirthing class, at it helped me finishing my pregnancy in the best way possible.

Cheer up and try to enjoy life while you are only two! ;)

All the best

Hi Becca,

I've just recently had a MMC so understand your concerns but at 26 weeks the baby can survive even if you did go into early labour so try not to worry. If we were lucky enough to get pregnant again I think I would start to relax a bit at 24 weeks. Good luck and try to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Your story actually fills me with a lot of hope! In March 2012 my little girl was born asleep at 39 weeks. When we decided to try again and I got pregnant I was so nervous. I seemed to be on edge all the way through, but my gorgeous little boy was born healthy and is amazing. It is an awful experience hun, but please rest assured it doesn't mean it will happen again. I hope you have a good support network, talk to them when you are feeling anxious. You are at a good point and I'm sure all will be okay and you will be meeting your little one in a couple months or so. My thoughts are with you hun x

I like you had a missed miscarriage in my last pregnancy, ended up in surgery and it took a while to get pregnant again. I am now 32+4 and I made a little deal with myself to enjoy everyday of having my squirmy little girl in my tummy, but at times it is really hard to stay positive I understand 100%. I had some private scans which really helped me, I also do Aqua natal and Yoga which have helped me keep calm and just relax (most of the time). When you have your little one in your arms, the past and worry disappears. Good Luck.
