False labor

Last night I had false contractions for around 3 hours with very mild pain. My waters didn’t break and I didn’t have a show, however when I called the hospital they told me to just keep an eye on the timing and didn’t want me to come in just yet. Eventually I took some paracetamol and drifted off to sleep but I was wondering if anyone else has had this? And if it means the baby will come soon? I’m 36 weeks today and FTM. I also have a midwife appointment today to check but I wanted to see what other people’s experiences were? Thank you :)

I had several hours of contractions that never became regular a couple of times in the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy and my little one didnt turn up to 40 weeks and 2 days. I think it was my body just practicing so it might not mean anything.

these false contractions are normal during pregnancy.😊..it doesn't show you ,your baby is coming...when your contraction is regular and painful and you can feel a pain in pelvic..or you have backache...and it dosent get better with changing position ;for example walking and left lateral .or you have bloody show or water bag is broken...these are signs of labor...and when you have every one of them ;you have to contact your midwife😊
