I’m 14 weeks 5 days

I keep getting really intense headaches! I usually get migraines but these are much worse.

I eat enough and drink enough.

They just come on randomly.

Tonight I started to get one because I was hungry, so I ate my dinner. Was fine and then all of a sudden pain and wanting to be sick (just like my migraines)

I’ve read it’s normal but my mum said keep an eye. So I’m not sure what to do

Hi Megan.

I have been experiencing the same thing. Went to the doctors and they have given me some pain killers to try and nip them in the bud. I have been tracking them to see if there are any triggers like my usual

Migraines. It seems that the days where I am working long hours are bringing them on. Rest, cold migraine patches and neck massages are the only thing that I feel I can do

Make sure they are checking your blood pressure regularly too.

Sorry you going through this. It’s crap!

If I take paracetamol and go in a dark room. They usually disappear

But I will keep track just in case

They’ve done my blood pressure once! Because of covid we are only having phone calls.

I haven’t seen my midwife yet and I’m not seeing her till October!

Are you pregnant? If you are then itll likely be the rise in progesterone in your body. I usually suffer from migraines and from 6 weeks to 15 weeks I had awful headaches and migraines due to the extra progesterone I was taking following IVF xx

All those hormones can cause tons of headaches and migraines, I'd also say maybe get your eyes tested as pregnancy can cause all sorts of odd things to happen to you and if your straining your eyes you might be getting headaches from that. Hopefully your 2nd trimester your hormones will steady and you'll feel better x
