Hi,

I was prescribed cyclizine from week 6ish to week 19. It’s completely safe and definitely helped stopping me actually being sick, but unfortunately didn’t stop the nausea much. I don’t think I could have coped without it though so worth chatting to your dr about xx

Literally in the same position as you (but not as far into my pregnancy yet). If you’re still suffering, all I can say is chewing gum!! Helps the gagging feeling sooooo much! Bought a big multi pack when usually I hate the stuff!

Good luck x

Bumps medicine has really good info about all medicine in pregnancy with detailed info re safety. Worth having a look at the specific mediciation that has been suggested/prescribed.

Hello I’m a pharmacist and my best friend is an obstetrician, I had hyperemesis up to 16 weeks I’m still being sick now but only once a day ( I’m 26 weeks) I got put on cyclizine and prochlorperazine both are safe in pregnancy.

The tablets don’t help the nausea but it does reduce the vomiting. It’s the worst I hope you feel better soon. Xx

Thanks to everyone that has responded. I'm 26 weeks pregnant and had am awful time with sickness. Since about 21 weeks I cant keep food down and it was making me feel really unwell. I got prescribed anti sickness and they really helped. For the last two or three days I tried to come off the medicine but the vomiting started again. Seems I'm gonna have to stay on them for a while longer. Your messages have really helped. Thanks lovely people. X
