Midwife felt something in membrane?

Midwife felt something and couldn’t do a sweep. She felt something lumpy in the membrane other than the head.

Said I would need to go to teh hospital for a scan to make sure it’s not the cord or babies hand.

She called the mat ward and they refused to see me due to the Coronovirus and just said to see what happens in birth.

Anyone else had this? How can they refuse to scan and check everything’s ok? Surely it’s best to check it’s not the cord before labour starts?

Oh geez that’s scary for you not being able to be certain. Push for them to see you! That’s not ok regardless of the Coronavirus! They have a job to do! Just go and turn up at the maternity ward (being cautious...tell them you are stressing out and want to be checked. Don’t take no for an answer. They’d have to take you if you had any pains or other concerns! Good luck xx
