Painful pulled abdominal muscles

I’m currently 30+6 weeks pregnant, have been suffering a really bad cold virus which saw me sent to hospital to have various tests done as my heart rate was abnormally high. Anyway, after ruling out things like pneumonia & flu, I was sent home with antibiotics to take if I didn’t see improvement within a couple of days. I think I’m just about on the mend now but have got a really nasty cough which is quite painful on the abdomen, I’m pretty sure I’ve pulled muscles. Rest definitely helps but I keep having coughing fits and it’s sooooo painful, I’m worried I’m going to do serious damage. Phoned to get a GP appointment but it’s not until late afternoon! Not sure what I can do about it, it’s agony....anyone else had anything like this? Any advice on what I can do?
