It stopped for two days and just gone toilet and started again it’s brown and not a lot I have no pain. I done three test and strong positive results. My boobs remain sore and feel sick.
Drs won’t do anything or early pregnancy team as only five weeks x
Hi lovely, I had a lot of bleeding between 5-9 weeks this pregnancy. It was mostly brown and light, only bright red once. It turned out to be a sub chorionic haematoma which is a little area of bleeding in the uterus. They can resolve themselves if they're small, like mine has (I'm 20 weeks along now) but you should ask to be scanned if you're feeling worried about it. Your local early pregnancy unit should be able to scan you from about 6 weeks x
Yeah it’s really light and only when I go to the Toilet and wipe. I spoken to early pregnancy unit and there saying they don’t do nothing till 7 weeks and that’s only if I continue to bleed so am going to pay for early scan in two weeks and will continue to take a test every Friday. It’s so worrying as you think the worse but the midwife said if I was miscarriage it be bright red and heavy with pain and I stop feeling pregnant to which my boobs still remain sore xx
Certainly sounds like a SCH to me but I must say I'm surprised your EPU aren't being more helpful. Mine couldn't do enough to help me and we ended up having 3 emergency scans to follow up on the bleed until it went away. Do try not to panic though, if it's a miscarriage you'll know straight away. It's very painful and lots of blood.
Sorry a SCH is what I explained about in my first reply, a subchorionic haematoma. I would keep on at the EPU and try your GP as well lovely! Best of luck x
Yes I might ring them again am sure there something can be done at five weeks. I try the Gp last week and wasn’t interested basically said nothing they can do. Thankyou
I am facing the same, but did you have to use a pad for the bleeding? I have to use a pad and also I had some small clots. The doctor said I have to wait for a few days to see if the bleeding continues as it has only been 32 hours since I started bleeding. But there were some tiny clots and some other stuff involved including red blood and pinkish fluid is there for the most part..
That’s good to hear, for me tho I don’t know what’s wrong! I literally woke up to find some blood dripping and then a clot the size of chickelts gum and other blood strings that aren’t big but kind of concerning.. is this normal??
Yes it could be a sch. I have one (2 cm) and bled red twice (at 5+5 and 6+5). I was so scared. Brown spotting followed for about 5 days in both cases. I wad put on pelvic rest and I really slowed everything down in my life pace during these last weeks. I stayed on modified bed rest too even if doc wanted me to still have daily walks.
I’m 8+6 today and my last scan showed that the sch is slowly reassorbing so doc is positive I can return to normal activities.
My suggestion is: don’t think the worst, try to book an early scan (at around 6+3) at your closest epu. In the meanitime stay on pelvic rest, drink a lot of water, eat fibers to avoid constipation. Most of sch resolve with successful pregnancies,
I been off work since last Wednesday as I come home and manager told me to have rest of the week off am meant to be Back in tomorrow and don’t know what to do. Do I ring early pregnancy again feel like they don’t bothered. Early pregnancy said do a test again in two week to which I be 7 weeks and I going to pay for a private scan. I just want to know why this is happening and everything ok am still pregnant x
Hi, this happened to me. It worked out as around the time my period would have been due at around 5/6 weeks. It was very light and only lasted a short time then turned brown for a day or two. No pain at all. I’m now nearly 37 weeks. Did get told i should have called them when I told the midwife at my 8 week appt but she wasn’t really concerned and said it was common.
I spoken to my midwife and also two at early pregnancy and said it’s common to bleed and didn’t seem concerned and it was brown and very minimal but just getting worried and feel likes the professional not helping just want everything to be ok. My period should of been last week when I found out I was pregnancy x
I know how you feel. I was too scared to do anything and just tried to ignore it. I was trusting my instinct that I still had all the symptoms and no pain. I’m not a professional, but from what you’ve described it does sound exactly the same as what I had. It only showed when I wiped as well so hardly anything. I hope all is ok for you too x
I think you should be ok if you have no pain or cramping but try to get it checked out as soon as they allow you to have a scan. Take some rest too and don't over do anything. Good luck x
No pain and it’s brown. I rang EPU again and still the same won’t see me but she said it’s common to bleed and doesn’t sound like anything serious just told me to keep a eye on it. But am going to book in for a private scan at 7 weeks and pay
I also bled at 6 weeks bright red, clots and cramping and saw the early pregnancy unit at 6+3 as the bleeding was over the weekend. I had a scan and everything was fine I just had an area of bleed and that afternoon after the scan I bled again very heavily. Again all was fine (I was scammed again at 7 weeks) and now I have an 18 month old x
Aw that’s amazing. I might ring early pregnancy unit again is it common to stop and start I just want them to scan me surly they can see something at 5 weeks x
When I had my second big bleed I did seem to stop for a few days then I had brown blood until about 9 weeks. Sometimes they can’t see much at 5 weeks and can’t always see a heartbeat so you may have to wait until 6 weeks but I still think it’s worth you trying to get an early scan if you can xx
Hi I’m same I think I’m also five ,six week.but this time is really hard for me sick and no energy at all.
