I am 6 weeks pregnant but have just started bleeding heavily like I’m having a period. I had been spotting for the last week. I am pretty sure I have miscarried sadly. I have a scan on Tuesday so don’t see the point of going to A&E over the weekend unless the bleeding gets really really heavy. Has anyone else been in my situation and found it helpful going to A&E?
Thanks in advance x

Sorry to hear this. I bled heavily at 6 weeks and was told to go to A&E by my GP (god knows why). I sat for hours only for them to just take bloods and then refer me to EPAC for a scan Monday. Thankfully all was fine but an awful wait over the weekend xx
Thank you for your response. I’m going to wait until my scan on tues to get confirmation either way. So glad you were ok. I’m going to try and remain hopeful. I had IVF so maybe that’s why I am having bleeding....xx
Aw Hunni sorry to read what your going through I will say a prayer for you and fingers crossed your scan all goes well for you and baby ! Just rest Hun and drink plenty of fluids til you have your scan . Big hugs xx
No point going to A&E. They don't have a vaginal scan so what they can do is to book appointment with EPAC on your behalf. Best to rest at home and wait for your appointment. Dont think too much as nothing you can do. Good luck.
This happened to me on my first pregnancy and I’m not going to lie unfortunately I had a miscarriage but DONT OVER THINK! Some ladies actually bleed loads and it can mean so much like more than one baby in there but Emily don’t over think! I hope for the best for you! Good luck x
It happened to me last year,i was bleeding and went to GP they've said to wait for a scan a few days but i didn't and went to A&E at Horton Hospital and they've stopped me overnight plus i've stayed 3 more days in the hospital to monitor me.I've had a vaginal scan and was nothing there.Sadly i lost the baby. But hope your situation is different as you mentioned that you had IVF and bleeding and the other lady said too she was bleeding but was fine.Fingers crossed. xx
