Almond oil for tear cause by labour

Was told at my 6 weeks check up to use almond oil for the tear which happened when I delivered my son, however I'm not sure which type would be best or what brand, wasn't really told. Anyone any idea on what the best brand is and where to buy it from?

I’ve never heard this advice. I had a 3A tear and just was told to keep it clean. You could ask if they have almond oil at your local pharmacy?

I think I'd just leave it alone to be honest. I had a 3rd degree tear and was told just to be gentle and keep it clean. But if you do want to use it, Holland and Barrett sell it :) It's not too expensive and they usually have the penny sale on. I used it on my bump every day and then on my baby's cradle cap!
