Worrying

Today I went to the hospital due to prior last Friday being told I have to much amniotic fluid ... The consultant then said that she thinks he has a narrowing of the bowel which sometimes Down Syndrome.children have I have to go back next week for another scan for another hospital to confirm the worries..

I am just wondering what sort of questions should I ask next week at my next scan/consultant meeting

Hi can I ask how many weeks pregnant you are? I think one test to rule out downs is the cvs depending on how far along u are and they work out if I are hi risk

I've heard of 3 women being told the same thing and their babies were born perfectly healthy. So it's not a full gone conclusion and if your baby does have Downs Syndrome, it will be a challenge, but I've been told that challenge can be incredibly rewarding. Good Luck!

Hi I was told after the test they do st 12 weeks out baby had a high risk of having downs I was shocked as I have 4 other children none of whom came back with the high risk since then iv seen midwife and consultant and none have mentioned the result we are not overly concerned as we will love our little bundle no matter what no test the NHS do is 100%
