What is it you are struggling with? Being a first time mum wasn’t my strongest point, I struggled with PND, it’s hard, people don’t always accept or realise how hard it is! You are expected to be so happy (which obviously I was) but I was also tired, fed up, hormonal, sad, regretful, stressed... the list goes on... it did get better, we got a routine, we finally gelled. But it is so so so hard! I can’t really advise, but I can sympathise. X

It's hard and you've done well to reach out here. You're not alone, most women find it difficult becoming a mother. I have had many low moments since having my two children.

I found asking for help from friends and family when I needed it, they were keen to help and said if they couldn't. I was able to pass this help forward when friends had their babies and I was in a better position.

Getting out in the fresh air, going for a walk or going to an exercise class helped me too. Exercise releases happy hormones which makes you feel better.

Eating well is important to how I feel too, batch cook a load of meals and freeze them so you have a load of ready meals in the freezer. Have plenty of fresh fruit and veg which is easy to eat in the house.

Wear baby in a sling, following TICKS guidelines to help with bonding and being able to feed yourself. Don't worry about doing housework, it'll always be there.

Take some time for yourself. Sit in a cafe and read a book. Me-time is crucial for every mummy, daddy should send you out to have it. Hugs, you have got this xxx

Take care of yourself as well. If you have friends or family who would be willing to help out a bit let them, don't feel like you have to do it all. I love the unmumsy mum's blog with a cup of tea while little one is napping for making me feel better about not being the 'perfect' mum.

How are you getting on today mummalucy?
