Growing breasts

Might sound a bit silly but I'm 26 +5 and have so far gone from 36D to 36G and now the G bras are getting tight (bought less than a week ago and was fully fitted etc). I'm getting frustrated that my breasts are getting so big so quickly! I don't know anyone else this has happened to so quickly, I was measured as an F in mid October and now am thinking I'm a H. I'm definitely still a 36 and haven't put on much weight except boobs and bump so it's not my imagination or anything like that.

Has anyone else had sore and ever expanding breasts? Some of my colleagues have commented, not nastily, and my uniform is a size 12 maternity one but might need a 14 just for my chest! Fits fine around my bump. Getting a bit self conscious about them as I'm still in a size 12 maternity jeans and legs still slim, face the same and no weight gain on arms etc. Feel like a bit of a freak!

I have big ones too - although I was bigger than you to start with. I am 32 weeks and have gone from a 32G to 34H to 36GG. The cups went up first and for ages I was still a 32 but down a little now to compensate for larger back size. The back size had only gone up to 36 in last 2-3 weeks. I’m definitely all boobs and bump 😂

I’d suggest still going up the back size even if it’s not changed it’ll give you more room in the cup and hopefully be more comfortable!

When pregnant by boobs went from B cup to G cup in the end I just got some breastfeeding bras from Debenhams that looked like sports bra as there sizing was small medium large so I didn't have to keep getting measured. Then went my milk came in I went back and got measured for the final outcome lol xx

I also went for bras like this, I got mine in m and s. I’ve gone up loads in back size- I’m measuring 38 and I was a 32-34 before pregnancy. Agree that bigger back size gives you more room in cup size x

I gave up measuring otherwise I would be needing new bras every 2/3 weeks. So I have lived in cotton sports bras for about 20 weeks now. I will get myself measured for a good nursing bra, nearer the time. But for now, the sports bras in large are doing me fine x

Oh wow, this is actually a useful insight for me into what the future might bring! Sorry you are so uncomfortable! I'm just in week 6 and my usual 36E size already seems like a thing of the past! Feeling giant and none of my bras fit right now, I'm wondering when I need to go for a m and s run. Good to know that the size is likely to continue to increase, will try and plan accordingly...

Avoid going up band sizes, if the band is too big it will cause breast tissue to slip down out of the cup and feel tighter than it needs to be. As a rule, you shouldn't be able to pull your band out more than an inch away from your body, if you can it is too big.

It might be worth you looking at a stretchy crop top type bralette, m&s do some brilliant ones in their DD+ range, as they stretch you should be able to get a bit more wear out of them, and they are still really supportive. I am a trained bra fitter, in the current method of measuring, not the old fashioned +4 method many department stores are still offering. Happy to answer any boob questions. (I'm also still breastfeeding my 1 year old so can answer questions there too)
